Yes, Hurghada is very safe for tourists. It is one of Egypt’s most secure cities, with enhanced security measures, visible tourist police and tight resort security. Millions of visitors come every year and report feeling safe.
How much do Hurghada trips cost?
Prices start at €12. The Semi-Submarine starts at €12, the dolphin show at €15, island trips from €18, desert safaris from €20, the Cairo day trip from €55 and the Luxor day trip from €60. The Buggy Safari is €110 per buggy, not per person. VIP and private options for Cairo and Luxor cost more.

How do I book a trip with Stella Travel?
Book directly on WhatsApp. Send us your hotel name, the date and how many people are coming, and we reply within 5 to 15 minutes. There is no deposit — you pay in cash on the day of the tour.
Do I need to pay in advance?
No. There is no deposit and nothing to pay before the trip. You pay in cash on the day, in Euro, US Dollar, British Pound or Egyptian Pound. PayPal is available on request with a 5% service fee.
Can I do a day trip to the Pyramids from Hurghada?
Yes. The Cairo day trip takes about 22 hours in total, with a 6 to 7-hour drive each way by air-conditioned vehicle. It costs from €55 and includes the Giza Pyramids, the Sphinx, a museum, a buffet lunch and an Egyptologist guide. Pickup is around 1:00 AM and you return around 11:00 PM.
When is the best time to visit Hurghada?
March to May and September to November are the most comfortable, with temperatures of 25–30°C. Water activities run all year, with sea temperatures of 22–28°C. Summer (June to August) gets hot, and winter (December to February) is mild at 20–25°C with cooler evenings.
What is included in your tour prices?
Every tour includes hotel pickup and drop-off in Hurghada, transport and the main activity. Most full-day trips also include lunch and entrance fees. What is not included is listed on each tour page — usually National Park fees, drinks, photos and personal expenses.
What is the best island trip in Hurghada?
Orange Bay Island is the most booked, at €18 for 8 hours with two snorkeling stops, lunch on board and 1.5 to 2 hours on a white sandy beach. Hula Hula Island costs the same, with a quieter beach and a reef that starts a few metres from the shore. Eden Island costs €60 and gives you a full day on the island instead of a boat cruise.
What is your cancellation policy?
Cancellation is free up to 24 hours before the tour starts. If you cancel within 24 hours, 50% of the price applies. If we cancel because of the weather, you get a full refund or another date. Just message us on WhatsApp — no forms and no phone calls.
Are your tours suitable for children?
Yes. The Grand Aquarium, the dolphin show, Orange Bay, the Aqua Park and horse riding all work well for families. Children under 5 or 6 go free on most tours. The long trips to Cairo and Luxor suit older children better, as they start around 1:00 to 4:00 AM.
How far is Cairo from Hurghada?
Cairo is about 450 km from Hurghada, roughly 6 to 7 hours each way by air-conditioned vehicle. Our day trip leaves around 1:00 AM and returns around 11:00 PM, which gives you a full day at the Pyramids and the museum.
What should I bring on a Hurghada excursion?
For boat trips: swimwear, a towel, sunscreen, sunglasses and a hat. For desert safaris: long trousers, closed shoes and a scarf for dust. For Cairo and Luxor: comfortable shoes, warm clothes for the bus air conditioning and a photo of your passport. Each tour page has a full list.
Do I need diving or snorkeling experience?
No. Snorkeling needs no experience — guides give instructions and all equipment, including life jackets. For scuba diving, beginners do two guided dives with a certified instructor at 7 to 10 metres. The minimum age for diving is 10.
Is snorkeling safe for beginners?
Yes. The water is calm and shallow at the snorkeling stops, and a guide stays with the group. All equipment is provided, including a life jacket. Orange Bay, Hula Hula and Dolphin House all work well for first-timers.
How far in advance should I book?
We recommend 24 to 48 hours in advance for Cairo, Luxor and the island trips. Desert safaris and snorkeling trips can often be booked the same day. Since there is no deposit, booking early costs you nothing.
How long are Hurghada excursions?
Short trips take 2 to 4 hours: the dolphin show, the Semi-Submarine and parasailing. Half-day trips take 3 to 6 hours: quad safari, horse riding and city tours. Full-day boat trips take 8 hours. Cairo takes 22 hours and Luxor 18 hours.
Is tipping expected?
Tips are part of Egyptian culture. As a guide: €3–5 per person for the guide, €2–3 per person for the driver and €2–3 in total for the boat crew. You can give more for great service. Keep some small notes in Egyptian pounds. Tips are welcome but never required.
What languages do your guides speak?
Our guides speak English, German, French, Russian and Polish. For the Cairo and Luxor trips, Egyptologist guides explain the sites in your language. Tell us your preferred language when you book.
What should I wear on the tours?
Beach and boat trips: swimwear and light clothes. Desert safaris: long trousers, closed shoes and a scarf. For Cairo and Luxor, wear modest clothing that covers your shoulders and knees when visiting mosques and temples.
Can I drink alcohol on the tours?
No. Alcohol is not served or permitted on any of our excursions. You can drink at your hotel, in restaurants and in bars in the tourist areas, but not during the trips.
