Luxor Day Trip Itinerary

• Hotel pickup
  Around 4:00 AM. The exact time comes after booking. The drive to Luxor through the Eastern Desert takes 4 to 5 hours by air-conditioned vehicle with two drivers, with one short stop on the way.
• Karnak Temple
  In Luxor you meet your Egyptologist guide and start at Karnak Temple, the largest temple complex in Egypt. You see its huge columns, the obelisks and the sacred lake of ancient Thebes.
• Buffet lunch
  A buffet lunch at a local restaurant on the Nile. Drinks are paid separately.
• Valley of the Kings
  The royal tombs of the New Kingdom, cut into the desert cliffs and covered with hieroglyphs and wall paintings. Your ticket includes 3 tombs, chosen by the Ministry of Tourism.
• Temple of Hatshepsut
  The temple of Egypt’s only female pharaoh, built into the side of the mountain.
• Colossi of Memnon
  A photo stop at the two large statues of Amenhotep III, which have stood for more than 3,000 years.
• Alabaster workshop
  A local workshop where craftsmen make alabaster souvenirs by hand.
• Optional boat ride to Banana Island
  A boat ride on the Nile to Banana Island, at extra cost (+€10).
• Return to Hurghada
  You leave Luxor around 5:00–5:30 PM and arrive at your hotel around 10:00 PM.
