This Privacy Policy explains what personal data Stella Travel collects when you visit stella.travel, book an excursion with us, or use a tool we connect to Google services, and how we use, store, share and protect it. Last updated: 29 October 2026.
1. Who we are
Stella Travel is an excursion company in Hurghada, Egypt, operated by STELLA TRAVEL LLC. We are responsible for the personal data described in this policy.
- Address: Sheraton Road, Hurghada, Red Sea 84511, Egypt
- Email: info@stella.travel
- WhatsApp: +20 110 101 2244
- Website: https://stella.travel
2. Data we collect
When you book an excursion
Bookings are made by WhatsApp or email. To arrange your excursion we ask for:
- Your name and the names of the people travelling with you
- Your phone or WhatsApp number and, if you write by email, your email address
- Your hotel, room number and pick-up area
- The excursion, the date and the number of adults, children and infants (children’s ages are needed for the price)
- Any information you choose to tell us, such as a language preference or a special request
Payment is made in cash on the day of the excursion. If you ask to pay by PayPal, PayPal processes the payment and we receive only the confirmation and the details PayPal shares with us. We do not collect or store card numbers.
When you visit the website
Our website does not have user accounts, forms or comments. When you visit, the following data is collected automatically:
- Technical data such as your IP address, browser type, device and the pages you visit, kept in our hosting provider’s server logs for security and to keep the site working
- Usage statistics collected by Google Analytics (see section 5)
3. How we use your data
- To confirm your booking, arrange your hotel pick-up and contact you about your excursion (contract)
- To answer your questions on WhatsApp or by email (contract and legitimate interest)
- To keep records required by accounting and tax law (legal obligation)
- To understand how visitors use our website and to improve it and our advertising, where you have agreed to analytics cookies or where the law allows it (consent or legitimate interest)
- To protect the website against misuse (legitimate interest)
We do not sell your personal data and we do not use it for automated decisions that affect you.
4. Google user data
Stella Travel uses an internal tool that connects our team’s own Google accounts to an AI assistant, Claude by Anthropic, so we can manage our own business accounts. The tool is used only by Stella Travel staff. It is not offered to customers or the public, and no customer ever signs in with Google on our website.
What we access
When a member of our team signs in with Google and gives permission, the tool can access only the data covered by the permissions (scopes) shown on the Google consent screen. Depending on the permissions given, this can include data from our own Google Ads, Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Google Business Profile, Gmail, Google Drive, Google Calendar, Google Docs or Google Sheets accounts, together with the signed-in user’s basic profile (name and email address).
How we use it
We use Google user data only to provide the functions the signed-in user asks for, such as reading campaign and website reports, drafting or organising business documents and emails, and checking the calendar. The data is used only for Stella Travel’s own internal business work.
How we share it
To carry out a request, the relevant Google data is sent to Anthropic, which provides the Claude AI assistant and processes it on our behalf. We do not sell Google user data, we do not share it with advertisers or data brokers, and we do not transfer it to anyone else except where the law requires it or to protect security.
How we store and protect it
Access tokens are stored by the connection service and are encrypted in transit and at rest. We do not keep a separate copy of Google user data. Results that a team member saves on purpose, such as a report, are kept only as long as we need them for our work.
How to remove access
Any user can remove the tool’s access at any time from Google account permissions. To ask us to delete data obtained through Google, write to info@stella.travel and we will delete it within 30 days.
Limited Use
Stella Travel’s use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. In particular, we do not use Google user data to serve advertisements, we do not use it to develop, improve or train generalised AI or machine-learning models, and no person reads it unless the user has agreed to it for a specific item, it is needed for security or to follow the law, or the data has been aggregated and anonymised for internal operations.
5. Cookies and analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to count visits and see which pages are useful. Google Analytics uses cookies and collects data such as the pages viewed, the device and the approximate location. Google may also use this data to measure our advertising. You can read how Google uses this data at how Google uses information from sites that use its services, and you can block it with the Google Analytics opt-out add-on or your browser settings.
The website also uses technical cookies needed to show the page in your language and to load it quickly. These do not identify you.
6. Who we share data with
We share personal data only as far as needed with:
- Our guides, drivers and the local partners who run each excursion (name, hotel, pick-up details and number of travellers)
- WhatsApp (Meta), when you message us there
- Hostinger, which hosts our website
- Google, for analytics, advertising measurement and our business accounts
- Anthropic, which provides the Claude AI assistant our team uses
- PayPal, only if you choose to pay with PayPal
- Public authorities, when the law requires it
Some of these companies process data outside Egypt and outside the European Economic Area. Where this happens, we rely on the safeguards these companies provide, such as standard contractual clauses.
7. How long we keep data
- Booking details: for as long as needed to run your excursion and handle any question after it, and then as long as accounting and tax law require
- WhatsApp and email messages: up to 2 years after your last excursion, unless you ask us to delete them earlier
- Google Analytics data: 14 months
- Google user data: see section 4
8. Your rights
You can ask us to see the personal data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, limit how we use it, or send it to you in a portable format. You can object to our use of your data and withdraw your consent at any time. If you are in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you can also complain to your local data protection authority.
To use any of these rights, write to info@stella.travel. We reply within 30 days.
9. Security
The website runs only over HTTPS. Access to booking messages and business accounts is limited to the staff who need it, and accounts are protected with passwords and two-step verification where available.
10. Children
Our website is not aimed at children. Children’s names and ages are collected only from the parent or adult who makes the booking, and only to arrange the excursion and its price.
11. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will publish the new version on this page with a new date. If we change how we use Google user data, we will update this policy and ask for consent again before using the data in a new way.
12. Contact
For any question about this policy or your data, contact Stella Travel at info@stella.travel or on WhatsApp at +20 110 101 2244. The rules for booking our excursions are in our Terms of Service.
